At the 2005 ARBA Convention in Indianapolis, my main goal was to find the best herd buck that I could afford.  I met Dwayne Scott and purchased a tort senior buck named Scott’s Thurston.  Thurston placed 10th SSB at convention in open.  Thurston has gone on to win may BOB, one BIS and one Best Reserve 4 Class.  I also purchased another tort doe from Pat and Val named Cammack’s Prissy who has become my favorite brood doe!  I also purchased a broken blue doe from Scott Rodriquez named Ivy Crescent’s Sweet Pea.  Together, these 3 animals have produced some AWESOME babies including ANR’s Jace who one BIS at 3 ½ months.
I also have had the opportunity to be given or purchase rabbits from BMW’s Holland Lops and THF/Saynora.  I would like to thank all of the breeders who have helped me out through the years and who are my rabbit show buddies, Cass, Peter Bachman, Tracy Lukeman, Jenna Buchenauer, Krys Kolivras, Henry Sabetti, DJ Swan, Mike and Sherry Wade, Karen Lewis, Dan Grande, The Brunst Family and Jo Mladjenovich and anyone else that I may have forgotten to mention by name! Thank you!
In early 2008 I decided to try my hand at dilute Hollands, coming soon!
In May 2008 I expanded my rabbitry, I am now up to about 40 holes!
ANR Hollands is owned by Ashlee Richards.  I am an 20-year old open breeder from Hampstead Maryland, located in beautiful Carroll County.  I have a small herd of only 40 holes to work with.  I am a member of ARBA, HLRSC, and CHLRC. My mom, Donna also helps out  A LOT with my herd, if it weren't for her, I wouldn't be raising or showing rabbits!
ANR Hollands was founded in 1999, when I bought a Holland Lop tort junior buck that I named Diamond from a local breeder.  Diamond was only shown at county and state fairs and never really won very much.  Later I bought a tort junior doe named Bluebelle at the county fair.  Bluebelle went on to win 8 GC legs and produced many great babies.  Bluebelle passed away in April of '08.  In 2001, I purchased THF Mojo and started using him to breed many colors such as blue, sable point, smoke pearl, orange and chestnut.  But in 2004, I made the Maryland State Rabbit Judging Team and had the opportunity to go the ARBA Convention in Providence, Rhode Island.  I sold most of my small herd so I could go to convention and buy some quality animals from open breeders.  That’s where I met Pat and Val Cammack and bought Cammack’s Maddy.  The first time I showed Maddy, she won BOB in an open show, and continued to win BOB at the next 7 shows.  I put Maddy into my breeding program after she was registered as a Grand Champion; after some tough births, Maddy produced some great babies for me!
